There was once a craftsman who built a house on a quiet patch of earth. He didn’t build it for wealth or praise, but for two little lights in his life who filled its rooms with laughter. Every nail he drove carried a wish. Every wall held a memory.

Seasons passed, and the laughter faded into echoes, but the house remained, the last solid piece of a love too big to disappear. When the craftsman walked its halls, he did not just see doors and windows. He saw twirling dresses and new sneakers pitter pattering in the hallway, bedtime whispers of good night kids, and joy bouncing off the ceilings.

For many years, the craftsman had lived like the moon present but hidden behind clouds. His life had been one of quiet duty and shadowed paths. But time, like the sunrise, has a way of calling even the most hidden light into the open.

Now he stands at the edge of change, knowing the path forward is one he must take, even though each step feels heavy. Letting go of the house feels like folding up a map of the happiest place he’s ever known.

Still, he reminds himself: love does not live in wood and stone alone. It travels with him, stitched into his spirit, carried in every breath.

And, so he asks for patience from those who walk beside him, trusting that even the longest night eventually gives way to morning.

Amy and her crew held a great estate sale at our father's house. They took care of everything down to clearing out the house. The sale ended on a Sunday and the renovation team started days later on Thursday. Living out of town and with the house in Fresno they really made a huge project as seamless for us as possible.
